Will Daredevil Appear in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'?

The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day teased a roster of street-level figures — The Punisher, Bruce Banner, Scorpion and the ninja group The Hand — and fans are eager to know whether Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, will turn up alongside Spider-Man. Charlie Cox has already appeared as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and returned to voice Daredevil in the variant timeline Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, with a further season planned.

At the time of writing, Cox is not scheduled to reprise the role in Brand New Day. On Mar. 18, 2026, he told Jimmy Kimmel Live! “no,” then added that if he were in the movie he would also say no, and that he “could be lying, but I’m not.” That response, plus the possibility that a brief cameo might have been cut from the trailer, keeps speculation alive.

Scheduling does not appear to rule out a cameo: Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finished filming in July 2025, roughly a month before Brand New Day began production.
