Will Smith returned to the Bad Boys franchise in 2024 with Ride or Die, the fourth installment opposite Martin Lawrence. The film follows the two Miami cops on their most dangerous mission yet, after their late police captain is framed for a crime he didn’t commit.

It grossed over $400 million worldwide on a $100 million budget and holds a 65% critics score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Ride or Die has streamed exclusively on Netflix in the U.S. since its theatrical run and is available on Netflix around the world, where it has crept back into the top 10 in more than five countries.

It even reached the VOD top 10 on Apple TV in Slovenia, despite not being offered there on Netflix. Smith has several projects in development, though none have set release dates. Michael Bay exited a planned reunion on Fast and Loose over creative differences, and a sequel to I Am Legend — which riffs off the alternate ending where Robert Neville survives — will co-star Michael B.
