Winter Storm Fern postpones Nuggets‑Grizzlies and Mavericks‑Bucks games
Cbssports reports Winter Storm Fern forced the postponement of two NBA games scheduled for Sunday: the Denver Nuggets at the Memphis Grizzlies and the Dallas Mavericks at the Milwaukee Bucks. The Grizzlies game, originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, was rescheduled because of inclement weather in Memphis; the Memphis Police Department asked residents to stay off the roads as the city saw up to three inches of snow and below‑freezing temperatures.
A make‑up date for that game has yet to be announced. The Mavericks never reached Milwaukee after being stuck on the tarmac for more than four hours due to snow and ice in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area; their flight had been rescheduled to Sunday after the team’s late‑Saturday game, a 116‑110 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The make‑up between Dallas and Milwaukee could reportedly be played Monday, which would create a back‑to‑back for Milwaukee, or after the All‑Star break on Feb. 19, per the Dallas Morning News, with the timing dependent on whether the Mavericks can arrive in Milwaukee later Sunday or Monday morning.
