Women's World Cup 2027: Full list of qualified teams
Spain enter the 2027 Women's World Cup as defending champions, aiming to retain their first major title in Brazil. England, who were runners-up in 2023 and beat Spain in the 2025 European Championship final, along with the United States and Japan, are viewed as early contenders.
Confirmed participants so far are Brazil (hosts), Australia (qualified March 13, 2026), China (March 14, 2026), South Korea (March 14, 2026), Japan (March 15, 2026), the Philippines (March 19, 2026) and North Korea (March 19, 2026). Most of those berths were decided at the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup, where reaching the semi-finals guaranteed World Cup qualification and two further places were settled in play-offs.
The next guaranteed qualifier will emerge from the OFC in April 2026, when New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and American Samoa contest a single-leg knockout for a direct spot and a play-off place.
