Wonder Man episode 1 is free to watch on YouTube

The first episode of Marvel's Wonder Man is now available in full on YouTube, so you can watch even without a Disney Plus subscription. The episode — S1 E1 "Matinee" — has been posted in its entirety. The series has attracted positive critical attention and is a fun watch.

The chemistry between Yahya Abdul‑Mateen II (Simon Williams) and Ben Kingsley (Trevor Slattery) carries the show with humor and heart, and the story follows a different path from the usual Marvel fare by focusing on a non‑superhero narrative. Destin Daniel Cretton, the series co‑creator and director, has warned that viewers expecting a conventional superhero show may be disappointed, but said that those who watch through will likely fall in love with the characters and find the show's use of the genre more exciting and interesting than just watching two people fight.

Though the series hasn't exactly killed in ratings (it seems just about every Marvel Studios project is struggling with its audience right now), it’s worth a try.
