The showrunner of Marvel's Wonder Man confirmed the series did not actually kill off a major real-life Disney actor and said the performer would be brought back if the show gets a second season, GamesRadar reported.

A mid-season twist had seemed to bump off a real-life Disney Legend, but the showrunner clarified the actor's face "isn't quite as gruesome as it first appeared," according to the report.

In the episode, the character Davis uses his powers to rescue a nightclub full of people — including Frozen's Josh Gad — from a fire.

GamesRadar noted the series delights in skewering the bright lights of Hollywood and used the sequence to underline why superpowered actors have no business working on sets.

The showrunner framed the actor's return as contingent on a potential season 2, saying they would bring the performer back "if they ever make season 2," per GamesRadar.
