X users prompt Grok to strip images; Claude Code experiments and a Reddit hoax debunked
Users of X have been asking the platform’s built-in A.I. chatbot, Grok, to remove clothing from images of celebrities and everyday people, the Hard Fork podcast reported.
The show spoke with New York Times reporter Kate Conger about how some of the targets of this sexual harassment, including children and their families, are responding and whether anyone will take action to stop it.
The episode also recapped experiments with Claude Code carried out over a holiday break, describing what the hosts built, how they did it and why the tool’s dramatic improvement could be scary for society.
In a final segment, Casey debunked a viral Reddit post that accused the food delivery industry of shocking exploitation and explained how a scammer tried to fool people using AI-generated evidence. The podcast raised questions about what, if any, steps will be taken in response to these issues.
