Yifan Liang to write Deadly Hands of K'un-Lun limited series

Gamesradar reports Yifan Liang, one of the writers on the video game Marvel Rivals, will write Deadly Hands of K'un-Lun, a five-issue limited series that Liang describes as a "mini event" bringing Lin Lie's story with his arch-enemy Lin Feng to its "climax".

The series pairs Lin Lie, the current Iron Fist, with predecessor Danny Rand (now called Ghost Fist) and protege Pei, who join White Tiger, White Fox, Elektra, Karnak and Aero to defend the mystical city of K'un-Lun. Paco Medina provides the interior art, and Liang tells Newsarama the book is an ensemble that digs deeper into who Lin Lie is through his relationships; he also says his work on Marvel Rivals shaped his attention to dialogue and character pairings.

Deadly Hands of K'un-Lun #1 goes on sale February 18, followed by #2 on March 25 and #3 on April 29; release dates for issues #4 and #5 have yet to be announced. Marvel's solicitation for issue #3 reads, "THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST GAINS AN INHUMAN EDGE…BUT AT WHAT COST?!" and warns that Manhattan is overrun as the War Fists descend and that Pei uncovers a secret that could spell the end of the Iron Fist legacy.
