Yu-Gi-Oh Says It Did Not Authorize White House Video
The White House used footage from Yu-Gi-Oh in a video promoting the United States and Israel’s joint strikes on Iran last month. Dan Green, the voice of Yami Yugi in the original anime series, called the use of his character and voice “disrespectful” to the memory of Yu-Gi-Oh series creator Kazuki Takahashi.

This was made without any authorization from the rights holder. Regarding this matter, no one associated with the manga or anime had any involvement, and no permission was granted for the use of this intellectual property.
The Yu-Gi-Oh brand issued the statement to make clear it had not authorized the use and that those connected to the manga and anime were not involved in the video.
