ZDNET's smart-glasses team previewed several notable models ahead of CES 2026, singling out the RayNeo Air 4 Pro, Rokid AI Glasses Style and XGIMI Memomind as particularly impressive. Kerry Wan tried the RayNeo Air 4 Pro ahead of CES and wrote that they are the world's first HDR10‑enabled smart glasses.

She noted a dedicated image‑quality chip, 1,200‑nit peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, Bang & Olufsen‑tuned audio and a 76‑gram weight, calling them a major leap for portable cinematic visuals and saying she hopes the price will be acceptable. Prakhar Khanna praised the Rokid AI Glasses Style for a lightweight design and added nose pads.

He said they include a camera, open‑ear speakers and mics, are rated to last up to 12 hours, lack a charging case and rely on a pogo‑pin proprietary charging dongle; he noted their $299 retail price undercuts Meta's Ray‑Bans and that they felt more comfortable for long wear. Khanna also tested the XGIMI Memomind, which he described as eerily similar to the Even Realities G1, with one display per lens, a dashboard for navigation and AI chat, a responsive UI and MicroLED brightness; he reported a $599 price, $100 less than the rival and offered in more styles.

The conference had not officially started when these hands‑on pieces were published.
