Zenclora is a Debian-based Linux distribution that pairs a customized GNOME desktop with a unique command-line package manager called Zen. The OS ships with a kernel optimized for performance, no bloatware, and a design that blends elements of KDE Plasma and elementaryOS.

It is open source and aimed at both gamers and average users. The Zen package manager lets you list available software with zen list and install curated bundles such as the gaming-pack via sudo zen install gaming-pack, which brings Lutris, Wine, Winetricks, gamemode, mangohud, vulkan-tools, mesa-drivers, Spotify and more.

Steam can be added with sudo zen install steam. Some apps, like Spotify, do not always follow the desktop theme, and installing the gaming-pack pulled in GNOME Software. Flatpak support is available with sudo zen install flatpak, and the system can be updated with sudo zen update; including Flatpak and GNOME Software by default would make the distro even more approachable for newcomers.
