The Meg 2: The Trench

The Meg 2: The Trench is an American film directed by Ben Wheatley. This scientific action film is a sequel to the previous series, namely The Meg which was released in 2018. The Meg 2: The Trench is predicted to be released in theaters on August 4, 2023. The film, adapted from the novel entitled The Trench by Steve Alten, will feature a number of players such as Jason Statham, Wu Jing, Sienna Guillory, and Cliff Curtis. The Meg 2: The Trench will again tell the story of the battle between humans and the ancient megalodon shark. This ancient animal has lived since 65 million years ago and has ruled the world even able to beat the dinosaurs. Meanwhile, it is also shown a remote island that has never been visited by humans. The island also seems to hold many secrets and ancient animals that people don't know. In this second series, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) and other researchers will return to dive into the Mariana Trench. It is known that more than two megalodon sharks have escaped and are swimming in the Mariana Trench.
