SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL DAILY WATCHING FOR AMAZING VEDIO Here's a traditional recipe for making pelmeni: Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 2/3 cup warm water 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg For the filling: 1/2 lb ground beef 1/2 lb ground pork 1 small onion, finely chopped Salt and pepper to taste For serving: Sour cream Butter (optional) Vinegar (optional) Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and crack the egg into it. Gradually add the warm water while mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In another mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. After the dough has rested, roll it out on a floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut out circles of dough. Place a small spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape, then pinch the edges together to seal. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling until you've used it all up. To cook the pelmeni, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully drop the pelmeni into the boiling water and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Remove the cooked pelmeni from the water using a slotted spoon and serve with sour cream. Optionally, you can toss them with melted butter or sprinkle them with vinegar before serving. Enjoy your homemade pelmeni!
