The video shows something called a "stoma", openings in ALL plants for gas exchange. They are open for gas to passively flow in and out. They open and close based on outside conditions like humidity or lighing conditions. There is no in/exhaling in plants.
For those who are curious, there is a group of plants adapted to environments that are called C4-plants.
