Canada has two languages.
Previously, Canada was a British colony. After England, France set foot and succeeded in colonizing the remaining land in Canada.
Even though it was many years ago, the fact remains that there are cultural impacts remaining from France, one of which is language. To date, the two most widely spoken languages in Canada are English and French.
