Russia Kills 150 Ukraine Troops Kreminna ‘Most Difficult’ Fight
Ukraine’s Air Force said that it shot down two out of four Russian cruise missiles that were launched from the Black Sea. Kyiv added that the “threat of missile attacks remains” and urged civilians to follow guidance from officials. Ukraine also said that two Russian missiles flew dangerously low over a nuclear plant in South Ukraine on Feb. 18. Ukraine’s military claimed that its forces killed over 1000 Russian troops in the last 24 hours. The Russian Defence Ministry said that Ukraine lost a total of 150 troops in the Donetsk region. Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai claims that the situation in Kreminna remains the most difficult in the region. Meanwhile, Zelensky has once again called on the Western leaders to provide fighter jets to Ukraine.
The US govt estimates that the Wagner Group has suffered over 30,000 casualties in Ukraine. The White House said that Biden will be “messaging” his Russian counterpart when he speaks in Warsaw on Feb. 21. Polish President Andrzej Duda has said that his country is considering sending MiG-29 jets to Ukraine. The European Commission president has called for speedy production of ammunition that can be supplied to Ukraine.
