About this video

A Russian body armour manufacturer is importing Chinese components for its vests being used in the Ukraine war, reports Politico. The US media outlet has cited trade data, photographs and Ukrainians who say they’ve recovered the vests from the front lines. According to the trade data, Chinese companies sent parts for body armour manufacturing to Klass, a Russian manufacturer. One of the Chinese companies is reportedly linked with the Xi Jinping government. Pictures from the battlefield show that vests produced by the company are being used by Russian troops in Ukraine. The Politico reviewed dozens of photos and videos published on the Russian site VKontakte of Klass body armour parts. Experts say that these exports are being done with the purpose of serving as “dual-use items”. However, the US has said that it is'nt overly concerned about these “dual-use” items showing up on the battlefield.
