Michael Carrick welcomed 15-year-old attacker JJ Gabriel into Manchester United's first-team training sessions twice this week. Gabriel, nicknamed "Kid Messi", has become known for his social media highlights and potential. As first reported by the Manchester Evening News, Gabriel took part in sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the weekend clash with Tottenham.

Tuesday's inclusion was initially viewed as a numbers boost on a recovery day, while Wednesday's involvement came alongside a full squad. Twins Jack and Tyler Fletcher were also promoted back into first-team training, Jack Moorhouse joined after returning from loan, and 17-year-old full-back Yuel Helafu was the fifth youngster present.

Gabriel cannot make his United debut this season due to Premier League rules; he would have been eligible for cup competitions but United's early exits mean he must wait until 2026-27 for a senior bow.
