3 Prime Video Shows You Need to Binge This Week

Now that the acclaimed video game adaptation Fallout has concluded its second season, a new show tops Prime Video’s weekly TV rankings: the Aldis Hodge-starrer Cross. The series premiered the first three episodes of its second season last week, and early reception suggests Season 2 looks poised to be a great success with Prime Video subscribers.

Adapted from James Patterson’s Alex Cross books and created by Ben Watkins, Cross is a crime thriller starring Aldis Hodge as a Washington, D.C. detective and forensic psychologist. The show follows his struggles with temper issues and the grief of his wife’s murder alongside investigations into high-profile cases inspired by timely political issues.

The cast also includes Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah and Melody Hurd. Cross premiered to mixed but largely positive reviews in 2024, and its (so far) better-received Season 2 leans on Hodge’s charismatic lead to keep the series entertaining despite occasional clichés.
