People reports that a 70-year-old woman became unresponsive after riding the indoor Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster at Universal Studios in Orlando on Nov. 25, 2025, according to a Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services report updated Jan. 15.
The 70-year-old, whose name has not been made public, was transported to a hospital and later died, the report says. When reached for comment, a Universal spokesperson said the company 'do not comment on pending claims.' The FDACS report, which is updated quarterly, included only brief details about medical incidents; the department wrote, 'Due to privacy-related concerns, the Department does not receive updates to initial assessments of a patron’s condition.'
Additional details were not featured in the report. To date, 21 incidents have been reported in connection with the Revenge of the Mummy ride since 2004, ranging from dizziness to a reported vertebrae fracture, according to NBC affiliate WFLA, and the ride reaches speeds of 40 mph with a 39-foot drop, reported the Tampa Bay Times.
