83rd Golden Globes begin at Beverly Hilton with Nikki Glaser hosting
The 83rd annual Golden Globes have begun at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, with stars arriving on the red carpet and Nikki Glaser returning as host for a second consecutive year. The three-hour ceremony starts at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific) and is airing on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+ for subscribers with a premium plan.
Viewers can also watch via the CBS app with cable credentials or through live TV services that carry CBS, such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV and FuboTV; Paramount+ will make the ceremony available to non-premium subscribers beginning Monday, and the service offers seven-day free trials for new users.
The Globes, voted on by more than 300 foreign journalists, are often watched for clues about the Oscars; the coverage notes that in 2025 “Anora” won five Oscars despite winning nothing at the Globes. This year the Globes have added a best podcast category, and indie studio Neon leads studio tallies with 21 film nominations, while Netflix has 35 combined nominations and Warner Bros.
31. Not all presentations will be televised: the Globes informed the six nominees for best original score that the award’s presentation would be cut from the telecast, a decision reported by Deadline, though the prize will still be handed out at the Beverly Hilton. The ceremony’s lifetime achievement honors were presented at a separate "Golden Eve" event earlier in the week and are available to stream on Paramount+.
