A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 4: Dunk Faces a Trial of Seven
In a report from Collider, Episode 4 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows the fallout from Dunk's fight with Prince Aerion and the reveal that Egg is actually Prince Aegon, as allies and new dangers emerge ahead of a Trial of Seven. Aegon sheds his disguise and apologizes, but Dunk is furious; Aegon explains his plan to squire and that Daeron had been hidden, while Maekar believes Daeron was taken by a huge robber knight and points to Dunk.
Baelor refuses to allow Dunk's execution but Aerion demands a Trial of Seven, a rarely used form of trial by combat that requires seven champions on each side. Raymun Fossoway and his cousin Ser Steffon initially agree to back Dunk, and Egg and Daeron visit—Daeron offers a clean blow and reveals he dreams of a future in which Dunk survives while a large dragon dies.
Steely Pate returns Dunk's shield and reinforces it, and several knights step forward to champion Dunk.
