A Knight’s Tale Hits Tubi Top 10 While Streaming Free in the U.S.
Collider reports that A Knight’s Tale, the 2001 historical action-comedy starring Heath Ledger, is currently streaming on Hulu and Tubi in the United States and is in the top 10 on Tubi.
Written and directed by Brian Helgeland, the film co-stars Mark Addy, Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell and Alan Tudyk. It was released May 11, 2001, runs 133 minutes, and grossed $117 million against a $65 million budget. The movie received mixed reviews on release—Rotten Tomatoes shows 59% from critics and 79% from audiences—and has since become something of a cult classic.
A Knight’s Tale is available to watch for free on Tubi in America. Helgeland later reunited with Ledger and Addy on The Order, which the report says is not currently on streaming, and he went on to direct 42, Legend (2015) and the Paramount+ original Finestkind (three years ago). The report also notes Ledger’s final screen appearance was in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, which is currently streaming for free on Tubi, and that his performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight earned him a posthumous Oscar; Ledger died in January 2008 and The Dark Knight was released in July 2008.
