Absolum's free Feb 12 1.1 update adds Mystic Ordeals, corrupted regions and elite mounts
Absolum, the roguelike beat‑'em‑up, is getting a free 1.1 patch on February 12 that adds new content alongside tweaks and fixes.
The update introduces “Mystic Ordeals,” customizable modifiers you can apply to runs after you've beaten the final boss, intended to extend challenge and replayability.
Across all runs the map will now include corrupted regions you can opt into, which present tougher enemies in exchange for stronger rewards. The patch also adds elite mounts—rarer versions with upgraded attacks.
Other additions include new emotes for co‑op play and unlockable character skins. PC Gamer noted Absolum has found an audience, reaching around 500,000 players and a 94% positive rating on Steam.
The update is free and aimed at stretching the game’s already high run-to-run variety; a Steam demo remains available for anyone who wants to try Absolum before February 12.
