Age of Wonders 4's next expansion introduces nomadic, post-apocalyptic bunnies — Pcgamer

Age of Wonders 4's Rise from Ruin expansion adds the harefolk: anthropomorphic hares who survived the apocalypse. Focused on speed and endurance, they can be customised with any traits you've already unlocked for your empire's primary species. They arrive alongside a harsh new map type, the Astral Barrens, a wasteland where mana is drained from the living and spellcasters must contend with unstable spells that can backfire.

To survive that realm you can use three magical tomes: the Tome of the Warband to raise stronger armies; the Tome of the Sandwalkers to spread sand across your territory, blind foes and summon desert guardians; and the Tome of the Warlord to grant access to mighty warriors and infernal allies.

The expansion also adds two new mounts, five new realm traits, new music, more narrative content, new critters and units, plus a free Scorpion update with quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, a combat balance overhaul, new customisation options and additional pantheon unlocks.
