A.I. videos of Victoria Beckham spread as Brooklyn Beckham feud plays out online
A.I.-generated videos and images purporting to show Victoria Beckham dancing at her son Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding have circulated widely online as a public family feud unfolded. Brooklyn publicly cut ties with his parents and accused them, in Instagram Stories, of repeatedly trying to sabotage his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
He also claimed his mother "danced very inappropriately" at the 2022 wedding, a detail for which no authentic footage has been produced, and a slew of realistic A.I. clips soon appeared purporting to show Victoria shimmying, leaping and recreating movie scenes. Many users reacted with amusement, posting laughing emojis and comments such as "they keep getting better and better" and "the first acceptable use of A.I.
I’ve ever seen," while the Beckhams did not respond to requests for comment. A person close to Brooklyn and Nicola, speaking anonymously, said the couple admired people’s creativity but felt the A.I. renderings could not capture how poorly they say they were treated. A Scottish digital artist known as Hey Reilly said he used A.I.
tools and Photoshop to create images that have been liked more than 1.5 million times and called the project "just a fundamentally funny idea," adding that critics who think the aim is to fool people are "missing the point entirely." Experts warned about the broader implications: Kristian J.
