Movieweb reports that Alan Cumming called his recent Hollywood Walk of Fame induction "actually insane", saying he now rubs shoulders with such cultural figures as Robert De Niro, Alfred Hitchcock, Marilyn Monroe, Cate Blanchett and Godzilla. The Scottish actor, who hosts the US edition of The Traitors, spoke to Variety right before receiving his plaque this month and reflected on his career: "It's something so out of my expected career path or even my mental periphery.

I am so grateful and kind of shocked by it. But it really has made me take stock and realize what an incredible journey I've had and how much I was helped by so many people in Hollywood and in America." The 60-year-old invited fellow Scot Brian Cox, Monica Lewinsky, TikToker Dylan Mulvaney and his husband Grant Shaffer to the January 8 ceremony.

Cumming is also set to return as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release December 18, 2026. Per The Hollywood Reporter, he called his casting in Doomsday "a shock to the system" and said X2 was "not a great experience at all to make — and ended up being a really great film," adding that returning now feels healing.
