Alex Warren wrote hit 'Ordinary' about wife Kouvr Annon — their story from Snapchat to marriage
Alex Warren and his wife, Kouvr Annon, first connected on Snapchat in 2018, were married on June 22, 2024, and Warren wrote his hit song "Ordinary" about her after its February 2025 release, People reports. The singer later won Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs that September and is now up for the 2026 Grammy Awards, the outlet adds.
The pair met when Warren messaged a friend of Annon’s saying he thought she was cute; they "clicked right away," Warren told the BBC in March 2025. At the time he was living out of his car; he has spoken publicly about his father’s death when he was 9 and being kicked out of the house amid his mother’s alcohol addiction.
Four months after they connected, Annon left her family in Hawaii to move to California and lived with Warren in his car, and Warren later wrote on Instagram about that difficult period in February 2021. Both creators rose to fame as members of TikTok’s Hype House, a content-creation group they helped build and that was featured in Netflix’s 2022 series Hype House.
