People reports Alexis Ohanian responded on X to critics who accused his wife, Serena Williams, of skin bleaching after she posted family photos following her sister Venus Williams' wedding.

Williams, 44, shared snaps of the couple with their daughters, Adira, 2, and Olympia, 8, who matched in light blue dresses, captioning one, "Joy does not always roar sometimes it whispers. It important to savor those sweet moments… I love this picture so I wanted to share it with you." Ohanian, 42, wrote on X, "Where are all the comments from idiots who don’t understand how photography lighting works.” When an X user suggested he was dismissing skin lightening, Ohanian replied, “Or: photos from the same event can look different based on lighting.”

Williams has previously denied bleaching accusations. During an Instagram Live on Monday, Dec. 2, while doing a makeup tutorial for her Wyn Beauty brand she said, "no, for you haters out there, I do not bleach my skin," adding, "There is a thing called sunlight, and in that sunlight, you get different colors," and that she is proud of being a "dark, Black woman."
