Amazon Cancels Many Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Steelbook Pre-Orders — Kotaku

Players who pre-ordered Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem through Amazon are discovering many orders have been canceled. Requiem launches Feb. 27 on consoles and PC. One sought-after Deluxe Steelbook edition — which includes digital skins and costumes, a steelbook cover and lenticular cards — sold out, and Amazon reopened pre-orders for it.

Customers on the Resident Evil subreddit say Amazon sold more copies than Capcom could provide and emailed many buyers that their orders were canceled and refunded because the item was no longer "available from the supplier." Others found their Deluxe Edition still listed as shipping but with delivery pushed back into March.

An Amazon Exclusive Edition that includes a poster has appeared as a replacement, but it also shows March delivery dates; one buyer shared a screenshot estimating arrival on March 28, nearly a month after launch. If you want to play Requiem at launch, consider buying a digital copy or ordering from another retailer.
