Amazon discounts Garmin Vivoactive 5 smartwatch to $195

Kotaku reports that Amazon has knocked 35% off Garmin’s Vivoactive 5, cutting the usual $300 price to $195 for the Ivory model; other colors are discounted as well, with the Navy at $200 and the Orchid at $191.

The watch features a colorful AMOLED display and a lightweight design, and includes body battery monitoring, a built-in sleep coach, heart rate variability status and a morning report summarizing recovery, sleep and daily calendars. It comes with more than 30 GPS and indoor sports apps, wheelchair mode that tracks pushes and includes push and handcycle activities with preloaded workouts, workout benefit and recovery time, and free adaptive 5K, 10, and half-marathon training plans. When paired with a smartphone you can view notifications, and Android users can respond with an on-watch keyboard and view shared photos; the watch also supports music control, contactless payments and built-in incident detection that sends your live location to contacts after a detected fall or crash.

The sale represents a $105 saving on the Ivory model; prices vary by color and the retailer might raise the price again at any time, so availability and exact discounts could change.
