Amazon announces full cast for live-action Tomb Raider starring Sophie Turner

Movieweb reports Amazon MGM Studios has announced the complete cast for its upcoming live-action Tomb Raider series, with Sophie Turner set to star as Lara Croft. The announced ensemble includes Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis, Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip, Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay, Bill Paterson as Winston, Jack Bannon as Gerry, John Heffernan as David, Celia Imrie as Francine, Paterson Joseph as Thomas Warner, Sasha Luss as Sasha, Juliette Motamed as Georgia, and August Wittgenstein as Lukas.

Weaver is described as "a mysterious, high-flying woman who is keen to exploit Lara's talents." The series hails from Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who serves as creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner, with Chad Hodge as co-showrunner and executive producer and Jonathan Van Tulleken directing and also executive producing.

Waller-Bridge said, "Tomb Raider boasts a plethora of iconic characters. I am thrilled to have been able to bring some personal and fan favourites to the screen while also introducing a few new rascals of our own to the mix.
