Ansel Elgort quietly welcomes first child; name and gender withheld

Pagesix reports that Ansel Elgort, 31, has quietly welcomed his first baby, a source told People after the actor was seen in public holding an infant.

The child's name and gender have not been released. The confirmation followed photos of Elgort on Jan. 13 running errands in New York City with a newborn strapped to his chest in a baby carrier; he was photographed in black leather pants, boots and a blue-and-white knit sweater, while the baby wore a white sweater onesie. The trio took a subway ride together, and Elgort was joined by a mystery woman who appeared close to him before they met two older adults who seemed to be her parents.

A representative for Elgort did not immediately respond to requests for comment. He was previously romantically linked to ballerina Violetta Komyshan; they dated for nearly 10 years before splitting in November 2022, and rumors of their breakup first surfaced after he was seen kissing a mystery woman in August 2022.
