Anthony Ramos says Paramount controls G.I. Joe–Transformers crossover fate
Anthony Ramos says the fate of a planned Transformers–G.I. Joe crossover rests with Paramount, Movieweb reported. Asked about the crossover, Ramos said: "Come on, talk to Paramount. I mean, everybody's buying everybody now. So Paramount, talk to Skydance or talk to whoever ... all of them, just hit them up, if you've got their number. Shout them out."
The final scenes of 2023's Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set up the long-awaited team-up by explicitly explaining the existence of G.I. Joe, but nearly three years later no release date has been confirmed. Various producers have insisted the project would happen, yet Paramount's negotiations to merge with Skydance Media have left the franchises' futures unclear, and Ramos has encouraged fans to make their voices heard to help generate momentum.
What happens next remains unknown: there is no official schedule for a crossover. Ramos will next appear in FX's The Beauty, which premieres on Jan. 21.
