Bitcoin miners that have shifted toward AI and high-performance computing rallied on Tuesday after the Financial Times reported that Anthropic is set to raise about $20 billion in new funding at a $350 billion valuation.

The FT said the raise is roughly double the $10 billion Anthropic initially sought. The San Francisco-based maker of the Claude chatbot is expected to receive anywhere between $10 billion and $15 billion as early as Tuesday, with the remainder finalised in the coming weeks, the outlet reported. The deal is said to be led by Singapore’s GIC and U.S. investor Coatue, with Sequoia Capital contributing a large sum.

Market moves were concentrated among miners positioning themselves as AI infrastructure providers: IREN and Cipher Mining (CIFR) rose by more than 12%, while Hut 8 (HUT) and TeraWulf (WULF) gained more than 8%. The AI-linked token Near Protocol (NEAR) was also modestly higher at $1.4735. Microsoft and Nvidia have previously said they would invest $10 billion and $5 billion into Anthropic, respectively.
