The compact desktop houses a 10‑core CPU, 10‑core GPU and a 16‑core Neural Engine inside an approximately 5 x 5‑inch metal box and weighs about 1.5 pounds. The unit ships with 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD.

Kotaku notes the M4 chip is designed for fast multitasking, with the 10‑core CPU handling routine tasks while the 10‑core GPU and 16‑core Neural Engine support graphics‑intensive work and Apple AI functions.
