The third season of the Israeli series Tehran, rescheduled after last summer’s attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, has made its streaming premiere on Apple TV; the eight episodes will be released weekly through Feb. 27.

Across six years and three seasons the show has repeatedly echoed real events — from the disabling of Iranian air defenses to the assassination of a Revolutionary Guards leader, booby‑trapped cellphones and attacks on nuclear sites — and Season 3, which was shown on Israeli television in December 2024, was pulled from Apple’s July schedule after Israeli and American attacks in June included the bombing of a facility central to the season’s story.

Tehran follows Tamar, an Israeli woman born in Tehran now embedded there as a Mossad agent. The series leans toward pulp fiction and nonstop action, with Daniel Syrkin, who directed all 24 episodes, credited for the choreography; Niv Sultan and Shaun Toub are singled out for their performances, and the season adds Hugh Laurie as a South African nuclear inspector and Sasson Gabai as another embedded Mossad agent.

Each season traditionally ends with Tamar on the run, and Season 3 does so again (spoiler alert); Season 4 is already in production. There is also no word yet on the fate of the domestic‑terrorism drama The Savant, which Apple removed in September after the shooting of Charlie Kirk, the outlet said.
