Arc Raiders Headwinds update overhauls OG rubber duck, adds six new collectible ducks

As part of the Headwinds update, Embark has overhauled the original yellow rubber duck in Arc Raiders and added a batch of new collectible rubber ducks to the game. One new map condition on Buried City turns it into Bird City, and players are being directed to search chimneys for rare loot.

"Flocks of birds have moved into Buried City, building nests in the empty chimneys. We got some reports of them storing shiny trinkets inside, so make sure to inspect them," the update notes say — and several of those shiny trinkets are the new ducks. The six new ducks introduced are Tropical Duck (a little pink flamingo ducky), Gentle Duck (a duck with cow markings), Alien Duck (green with funky eyes), Doodly Duck (covered in scribbles), Flashy Duck (scribbles that are flashy), and Familiar Duck (painted to look like Scrappy).

The original yellow rubber duck has also been given a fresh coat of yellow paint. The addition has been met with strong community enthusiasm — "Huge update. Just look at them, they are gorgeous," one player wrote — though some have pointed out the growing trinket collection is straining existing stash space.

"This is exactly why I wish trinkets had their own separate stash room," another player said. Collectors should note the Familiar Duck is the rarest and is worth 7,000 raider coins. Rubber ducks can be stored in stacks of five, meaning a single stash slot can hold up to 35,000 raider coins, a potentially lucrative way to prepare for the upcoming expedition.
