Arc Raiders hit by extensive, coordinated DDoS attacks as Embark works on hotfix
Embark says Arc Raiders has been struck by "extensive, coordinated DDoS attacks" that have affected server stability, coming a day after the Headwinds update launched, one of the studio's community managers, Ossen, posted on the official Discord.
Ossen wrote that "Both Arc Raiders and The Finals have been under extensive, coordinated DDoS attacks," and that the strike team has been working on mitigations and solutions. He added the team was making good progress but that the attacks were still ongoing.
Since the initial post earlier today, Ossen confirmed servers are "recovering," though the studio made no promises about a full return to normal. Another community manager recommended players be careful when logging in to avoid accidentally losing items or progression.
The Headwinds update also introduced several unintended issues, and Embark said it is rolling out a hotfix to address "the most impactful ones we've identified so far." Reported problems include reduced fire rates on several weapons, missing cosmetics in the customization menu, parts of the Ukrainian localisation appearing prematurely, and slower loot appearance.
Embark hopes to have the hotfix available later today and says the strike team continues working on mitigations; however, the attacks remain ongoing and it has not guaranteed when full stability will return.
