Arc Raiders snap hook lets players 'fly' across map in new movement trick
Streamer The Burnt Peanut shared a clip showing a new use of Arc Raiders' snap hook that lets players glide across the map toward the Spaceport Tower.
In the clip he hooks onto a friend who sprints toward the Spaceport Tower, then downs himself with a grenade while another teammate administers first aid; when the runner reaches the tower top the snap hook triggers and sends The Burnt Peanut soaring — "Look at me go! I'm flying, I'm flying."
The clip demonstrates the snap hook still offers movement tech players can exploit. A few months ago similar flying tech involved using the snap hook with a grapple hook and was patched out, but the snap hook continues producing odd movement tricks.
PC Gamer's report says the trick reportedly also works if you grapple and immediately hold onto a ladder, though the writer adds they have not seen that variant in action.
Players note the exploit is more amusing than game‑breaking: you can only glide if a teammate sprints somewhere first, meaning you'd have to send a friend off alone. "It's cute, but I can see why it's not been a priority to fix it," one player points out.
Embark has been swift to squash bugs before — from a door glitch to a blueprint exploit and a hidden first‑person trick — so the snap‑hook glide may be short‑lived.
