Ahead of the 2026 Grammys telecast, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo won the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award for their duet of "Defying Gravity" from the musical film Wicked: For Good.

The pair beat nominees ROSÉ and Bruno Mars for "APT.," SZA and Kendrick Lamar for "30 dor 30," KATSEYE for "Gabriela," and HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI for "Golden" (KPop Demon Hunters), according to People.

The win adds to Erivo's 2017 Grammy for The Color Purple and Grande's 2019 Grammy for Sweetener; Grande also previously won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2021 for "Rain on Me" with Lady Gaga.

The victory arrives weeks after Wicked: For Good received no Oscar nominations in 2026, despite the first Wicked film earning 10 nods. Erivo and Grande had been nominated at the Oscars in 2025 (Erivo for Best Supporting Actress and Grande for Best Actress), and Wicked: For Good ultimately won two Academy Awards, for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.

The Grammys telecast is set to air live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
