Arne Slot gives promising Alexander Isak injury update — Goal

Arne Slot says Alexander Isak has made promising progress after the broken leg he suffered against Tottenham on December 20, which required surgery. The Swedish striker has been following a rehabilitation programme and was on the pitch this week wearing running shoes for the first time.

Slot suggested a return to the group could come around the end of March or start of April, but stressed that being back with the squad is not the same as being ready to play or start a game. He outlined the recovery stages—gym work and rehab at the training ground, then work with the ball and finally integration into the group—and welcomed the progress as a compliment to Isak and the medical staff.

Isak had scored three goals in 16 appearances before the injury.
