Arsenal emerge as frontrunners for Marc Guehi and open talks for Bradley Barcola
Independent.co reports Arsenal have emerged as front-runners to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and have opened talks over PSG forward Bradley Barcola.
Guehi’s Palace contract expires in the summer and he is said to favour a move to Arsenal or Liverpool rather than Manchester City, who were reportedly hoping to sign him this month to ease a defensive injury crisis. Arsenal have also reportedly opened negotiations with PSG over 23-year-old Barcola, with reports saying the club were readying an £87m bid for the forward, who has lacked game time at PSG.
Sources say Guehi is prepared to wait until the summer and would prefer not to join City. Separately, Barcelona have made clear they want to keep Marcus Rashford beyond his current loan, though it is not confirmed whether any purchase option will be activated, and Liverpool will be without Conor Bradley for the rest of the season after a serious knee injury that requires surgery.
