Nytimes reports that Andrew Russeth, in This week in Newly Reviewed, covers Keith Haring’s murals, John Duff’s sculptures and a group show focused on the human body. At Martos Gallery, 14 panels from Haring’s 1984 FDR Drive mural are installed; the original work was sprayed on 30 metal panels affixed to a fence along the East River and stretched roughly 300 feet.

The installed panels show more than 50 outlined cartoon humans, punctuated by red lines and squiggles, and include a figure labeled "T.K.C." The panels were removed in 1985, bear graffiti and were later dispersed, and Bob Nickas notes that Haring wrote in his journal that its weathered state "made it look even better." At Reena Spaulings Fine Art, John Duff presents 21 works, half recent and half older, united by gritty inventiveness.
