Ashley Park lists five favorite Rome spots while filming Emily in Paris season set there

Ashley Park, who plays Mindy Chen on Emily in Paris, shared five of her favorite places in Rome after spending time in the city while filming Season 5 of the show, which debuted on Dec. 18 on Netflix and is mostly set in Rome. Ms. Park, who lives in Los Angeles, said she wandered Rome’s cobblestone streets with a disposable camera, stopped in neighborhood cafés and visited churches while the series was shooting.

She noted shopping at the avant‑garde retailer SuperOdra and for vintage clothes in Monti, taking in the Spanish Steps and the Sistine Chapel, and a daily routine of handmade pasta and an Aperol spritz. Her five favorites include the Fontana delle Tartarughe in the Jewish Quarter — a small, intimate spot in Piazza Mattei where a Season 4 moment was filmed — and Hostaria da Pietro in Campo Marzio, a family‑owned restaurant she first visited after meeting Florence Pugh in 2022 and where she favors Roman artichokes and fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with cheese.

Villa Borghese was another pick; Ms. Park said she and co‑star Lily Collins often walked there and praised the park’s galleries, paths, pond and city views. She also highlighted Via Margutta, an ivy‑draped lane with hidden courtyards and antiques shops, and Da Enzo, a no‑frills trattoria in Trastevere where she and castmates attended a pasta‑making class and where she recently had carbonara three times in a row.
