Ashley Tisdale hangs out with Haylie Duff as mom‑group drama simmers
Ashley Tisdale spent time with Haylie Duff as the celebs' mom‑group drama continued. On Tuesday Haylie, a food blogger, shared a photo of her youngest daughter, Lulu, 7, playing under a table with Tisdale's eldest daughter, Jupiter, 4; Haylie captioned it 'Under table shenanigans,' and Tisdale reposted the snap to her Instagram Stories.
The playdate comes three weeks after Haylie publicly sided against her sister, Hilary Duff, amid a brewing dispute between Hilary and Tisdale. In an essay that sparked the backlash, Tisdale called out a group of moms she used to be friends with, naming Hilary, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore among others.
In the essay Tisdale wrote that she felt excluded from outings and not 'cool enough,' alleging 'there were group text chains that didn’t include everyone, which led to cliques forming within the larger group.' She added that 'after the third or fourth time of seeing social media photos of everyone else at a hangout that I didn’t get invited to, it felt like I wasn’t really part of the group after all.' Several members of the circle and their partners responded on social media.
Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, called Tisdale the 'most self-obsessed tone deaf person on earth,' and Mandy Moore said she has 'had to sort of mourn in a way' how some of her friendships have 'changed.' It remains unclear why Hilary and Haylie are no longer close; the sisters haven't been photographed together publicly since 2019.
