People reports Ashley Tisdale French and Haylie Duff shared a moment from a playdate between their daughters on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Duff, 40, posted a photo of her daughter Lulu, 7, playing under a table with Tisdale's daughter Jupiter, 4, captioned "Under table shenanigans," which Tisdale reposted to her own Instagram Stories.

The two appear to have a long-standing friendship: Tisdale sold her former Studio City home in Los Angeles to Duff almost 10 years ago, with Duff purchasing the house for $2.7 million in 2016, per Realtor. The Instagram post comes amid fallout from Tisdale's essay for The Cut, titled "Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group." Tisdale first wrote about the experience in a December 2025 blog post called "You're Allowed to Leave Your Mom Group," writing, "When I became a mom, I craved connection almost as much as I craved sleep," and later, "If a mom group consistently leaves you feeling hurt, drained or left out, it’s not the mom group for you." Since the essay, fans have speculated about members of the alleged group, including Hilary Duff; Hilary's husband Matthew Koma criticized Tisdale on Instagram Stories on Jan.

6, and Hilary debuted a song called "We Don't Talk" at a Jan. 19 concert that appears to address an alleged rift with her sister, Haylie, though Hilary has not said who the song is about and has not been seen with Haylie publicly since 2019, per Page Six.
