People reports that the cause of death for YouTuber Adam the Woo, real name David Adam Williams, was atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease that led to a "heart attack in his sleep," his father Jim said in a Jan. 26 Facebook post following an autopsy. Williams, 51, was found dead at his home in Celebration, Fla., on Dec. 22.

Jim wrote, "The short answer is…natural causes," and said the family was "grateful" that he died at home and was found by friends. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office previously confirmed that deputies responded for an unattended death at 2:53 p.m.; a friend had borrowed a ladder, looked in a third‑story window and, with Fire Rescue, entered the residence and found the man deceased.

Per the Mayo Clinic, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and hypertensive heart disease often co‑occur and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and organ damage. Williams launched Adam the Woo in 2009 and The Daily Woo in 2012; his two channels had a combined following of about 1.2 million, and his final video, posted Dec. 21, showed Celebration's Christmas decorations.
