Baby Krypto Appears in New Supergirl Super Bowl Teaser

Baby Krypto, the puppy version of Superman’s dog, turns up in a new Supergirl teaser that ran among Super Bowl spots. The brief clip mostly reuses footage from earlier trailers but adds a few new shots, opening with the pup scampering up to Supergirl and her asking, "Who are you?" Krypto has been a part of DC Comics since the 1950s and made his first live-action movie appearance in last year’s Superman, where the full-grown dog became a standout and helped inspire a wave of dog adoptions.

Supergirl follows Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock), who arrived at the end of Superman to collect her dog after Superman had been watching him. The film follows Supergirl and Krypto as they travel across the galaxy, is set after Superman but will include flashbacks, and James Gunn shared a photo of a young Krypto.
