Bad Bunny sued for $16 million over alleged use of a woman’s voice
People reports that Bad Bunny is being sued for $16 million by Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera, who alleges a voice recording of hers was used without consent in two of his songs; the lawsuit was filed in Puerto Rico on Jan. 5.
According to Rolling Stone and Billboard, Rivera contends her voice appears in “Solo de Mi” from Bad Bunny’s 2018 album X100pre and in “EoO” from his 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos. In the audio Rivera says, “Mira, puñeta, no me quiten el perrero,” which roughly translates to, “Listen, damn it, don’t take away my vibe.” In the suit she alleges producer La Paciencia (Roberto Rosado) asked her to record the line in 2018, that she never signed a contract and was not told the recording would be used for commercial purposes, and that the phrase has been used by Bad Bunny in concerts and on merchandise.
Rivera is seeking $16 million for alleged violations of her privacy and publicity rights, and both Bad Bunny and his label Rimas Entertainment are called to appear in court in May. The lawsuit follows a separate $40 million case filed nearly three years earlier by ex-girlfriend Carliz de La Cruz Hernández over an alleged unauthorized vocal sample, which remains pending; Rivera is represented by the same attorneys, Jose Marxuach Fagot and Joanna Bocanegra.
